Permanent call for interns at the Permanent Mission in Geneva

Dear medical students,
Are you interested in how the United Nations work? Do you want to learn more about the World Health Organisation? Are you wondering about the involvement of Belgium in these organisations? Then read on!
BeMSA is proud to offer you the possibility to do an internship at the Permanent Mission of Belgium to the Office of the United Nations and the other International Organizations in Geneva. This organisation works on a variety of themes (see for more information). You will be assigned to one or more diplomats, based on your themes of interest.
The minimum duration of this internship is one month, and it can last for up to three months. Contrary to regular international opportunities, there is no specific time frame: places are provided all year long. That is why we will open a permanent call: candidatures can be send in at least four full months prior to the start of the desired internship. At the first of every month, the BeMSA Executive Board will look into the applications that are planned to start four months later. A decision will be communicated to the candidates within two weeks.
For example: if you want to go in February, March and May 2015, you'll have to send your application on September 30th the latest.
A candidature consist of a motivation letter and CV. The candidature has to be send to with in CC. These documents can be in Dutch or French, but a decent knowledge of Dutch, French and English is required.
Note that the internship is free of charge, but nor BeMSA, nor the Permanent Mission will provide financial support for transport or accommodation. However, assistance will be provided for the administration, as well as for finding lodgement, based on the experiences of previous interns.
Do you want to discover one of the many non-clinical aspects of (public) health? Then take your chance and candidate for this unique opportunity!
